Classes and Suitability
It is important for y

Introduction
A six week course designed to give you a feel for the core range of pilates principles and exercises. This is essential for almost everyone but especially if you have existing symptoms or a specific medical condition as this course teaches the correct recruitment of the core muscles.
Beginners
A progression on which new exercises introduced to “challenge” the core stability muscles. People with medical problems, such as low back pain may stay at this level for reveal terms.
Intermediate
For people who have done 6 months or so of pilates with us. A lot of people choose to stay at this level, especially if you are recovering from an injury or prefer a gentler form of exercise and postal awareness.
Advanced
For people who have done at least a year of pilates.
Fitness
Suitable for fit, strong people carrying NO injury or problems and for those who have been practicing Pilates Therapy (with the clinic) for a long time.
All the above are mat work classes with the basic warm-up carried out standing, then exercises progress to lying on the floor on either side, stomach or front, also hands on knees.
| We strongly recommend a 1:1 assessment if you have not come via your doctor or the physiotherapy clinic and you feel that you have significant pain or mobility issues. All classes booked through Kings Langley Physiotherapy Clinic are booked as a course and paid in advance. There are no refunds for classes missed but every effort is made to fit in an additional class during that course. Courses are generally run during the school term only with additional “extra” classes in school holidays. |
Classes are held at Blackwell's Cafe, Chipperfield Common. (WD4 9BS) |
